From the VV Daily Press, July 15 2008
A new photography club is planning its second meeting and will focus on portraiture with a planned model photo shoot.
The club is being organized in part by Brent Wood, Victor Valley College Art Department Chair.
“We are moving forward; the group will grow as we do,” Wood said in a statement. “Thank you all for having an interest in this group and photography.”
Joan Sowinski, a local artist, photographer, VVC student and VVC adult volunteer, is providing the club with a building/studio, known as Burning House Art.
Interested photo enthusiasts are asked to bring a camera, tripod, orange extension cords and a hand-held light meter.
The next meeting is planned for 7 p.m. Friday. Prospective models and photographers interested in attending the club may RSVP via e-mail to WoodB@VVC.edu.

It has been a great opportunity to meet talented artists and friendly neighbours. The Club is growing and we are working on getting organized. I will be soon updating this blog with news about the club and working on a blog for the club. Thank you to everyone!
If you live in the Apple Valley area and would like to join, feel free to write an e mail to Brent or to me at info@castaldophotography.com
